Teknor Apex Announces Bikes for a Brighter Future Initiative

Program partners with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, United Way, and local charitable organizations in Asia and Europe to provide bicycles to underserved children

PAWTUCKET, RI, U.S.A., June 03, 2025:  In June 2025, Teknor Apex, a plastic material science solutions provider, will launch its Bikes for a Brighter Future initiative. Through partnerships with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, United Way, and local charitable organizations in Asia and Europe, the company will donate and distribute bicycles and bike helmets to children in the community. This new, and soon-to-be annual program, underscores the company’s commitment to community service by providing impactful opportunities while honoring retired CEO (and current Chairman of the Board) Jonathan Fain’s love of cycling.

“When I rode a bike as a child, it allowed me to exercise, and gave me a sense of freedom and accomplishment. I hope that is what we are able to impart on the children who will benefit from this initiative,” said Fain. “I’m honored that the company has created a program that combines our values with my passion so we can give back to the community.”

With locations across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, Teknor Apex will purchase the bicycles and deliver them to charitable organizations for distribution in communities where Teknor Apex operates. All Teknor Apex employees will have the opportunity to actively participate in this impactful initiative.

“Riding a bike offers children so many health and developmental benefits,” said current CEO Donald Wiseman. “With Bikes for a Brighter Future, we hope to give children in our communities who may not otherwise have access to bicycles the chance to learn and grow.”

Through this initiative, Teknor Apex hopes to impact the lives of children by encouraging a more healthy, active lifestyle and promoting bike safety. “Being part of a community means that you are committed to it,” said Fain. “We are a third-generation company and a representative of the community, so we have a vested interest in making sure it is as good as it can be.”
