Environment, Health and Safety
The Regulatory Affairs Department of Teknor Apex Company administers the following areas of government regulations, voluntary consensus standards and compliance to internal product / process requirements:
- Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and State environmental regulations
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
- National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
- Department of Transportation (DOT)
- Coalition of Northeast Governors (CONEG)
- Other miscellaneous programs
In addition to the Corporate Department of Regulatory Affairs, there are environmental and safety officers at each of our plants who are responsible for process compliance at their locations.
Specifically, the Teknor Apex Company Regulatory Affairs Team will:
- Facilitate compliance with all federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations
- Provide technical as well as regulatory guidance and support services to the Company
- Communicate and coordinate Regulatory Affairs programs, procedures and objectives throughout the organization;
- Minimize the environmental impact of our operations, including reduction of emissions and wastes
- Influence local, state, and federal regulatory development primarily through industry groups
- Recognize that the Team cannot meet its objectives without all employees' support and involvement
- Continuously evaluate Teknor Apex Company's EHS performance and implementation of its EHS programs
