Based on PA 66 or PA 6, Chemlon polyamides are customized to meet end-use requirements, using glass or mineral reinforcements, impact modifiers, and other additives to improve performance. Chemlon is suitable for both injection molding and extrusion in applications requiring high strength, rigidity and thermal stability. Trusted by the automotive industry for decades, Chemlon polyamides have been awarded extensive OEM material approvals for critical components found under the hood, in the chassis, as well as vehicle interiors and exteriors. The Chemlon product line's success in automotive applications has paved the way for adoption into similar components in the heavy truck industry and beyond.

Select Chemlon grades have been optimized for cost effectiveness, for the ultimate balance of price and performance. Based on PA 6 and PA 66 respectively, the Chemlon 400 series and Chemlon 500 series are designed for cost sensitive applications with less demanding end-use requirements.
Chemlon® 900 Series
Specialty polyamide solutions are grouped under the Chemlon 900 series. These materials are designed to meet very unique performance requirements when standard materials cannot. For example, Chemlon 904-15 GVNH is a flame retardant, glass reinforced, high heat resistance grade with superior surface aesthetics, designed specifically for automotive under hood components.
