Performance Benefits
With over 25 years of proven reliability Elexar® compounds have been certified by regulatory agencies, specified by the industry's top OEMs, cable manufacturers and design engineers around the world. Elexar® molding compounds achieve 90°C RTI ratings and extrusion compounds/assemblies 105°C UL ratings with brittleness temperatures down to -100°C. They retain their rubber-like feel and toughness, and provide excellent impact, flex and abrasion resistance performance. Elexar® compounds provide excellent electrical performance for primary insulation.

Processing Benefits
Elexar® compounds are uniquely produced into round free- flowing pellets. Pre-drying is generally not necessary prior to thermoplastic processing. Elexar® compounds can either be color-matched or easily pigmented on-line with a variety of master batch chemistries. Having a wide processing window and good melt strength allows for either pressure or tubing extrusion processing and fast molding cycle times.

Cost Benefits
All grades are fully recyclable. Compared to many competitive systems, Elexar® compounds have a lower density resulting in value-added price/volume economies. Because Elexar® is a thermoplastic, it does not require expensive curing or cross-linking equipment to achieve its compound performance.
